Moin! The Federal Conference (buko) is the central event of the German Junior Chamber, which is aimed at young self-employed people and managers. The main event is the association’s delegate assembly. The conference offers a platform for supraregional exchange, knowledge transfer, and the promotion of entrepreneurship.
The buko takes place once a year from Thursday to Sunday and is organized annually by a different junior circle in Germany. In 2026, the Hanseraum regional association will host the conference in Hamburg from October 22 to 25. This means that it is not a single circle, but the second-largest regional association of the Wirtschaftsjunioren that will take on this task. The Hanseraum consists of the five northernmost federal states and looks forward to welcoming over 750 business representatives to the Waterkant.
The extensive program offers guests a mix of keynotes, workshops, insights into local companies and institutions, as well as numerous opportunities for networking and getting to know the region and its local economy.
The conference will focus on how young businesses are responding to current economic challenges. Questions such as “What options are available to us today?”, “What does a modern economy look like?” and “How can we drive our economic development forward again?” will be discussed. As the largest association of young executives under the age of 40, we bear the title “Voice of Young Business” and feel obliged to examine these issues in depth – especially at our national conference in the Hanseraum.
The conference offers an excellent opportunity for young entrepreneurs and executives to interact with each other. In addition, experts and industry leaders from the north will give presentations on current topics, challenges, and trends in the economy.
Practical workshops and seminars will deepen specific skills and knowledge, from business management and innovation to digital technologies and sustainability.
The German Junior Chamber is the largest network of young entrepreneurs, managers, and professionals under the age of 40. Around 10,000 members volunteer their time to promote sustainability, responsibility, and dialogue. They run companies, secure jobs, invest in innovation, and actively shape economic and social change.
The association comprises 11 regional associations with over 200 districts. In the north, the Hanseatic region forms a strong regional association with 2,000 members in 39 districts.
Internationally, we are part of Junior Chamber International. This global network connects committed young leaders from more than 100 countries.
It creates space for international exchange, joint projects, and a deep understanding of global challenges.
What unites us is the will to shape the future. We don’t just want to think ahead, we want to actively shape the future. With attitude, drive, and impact.
